We're extremely proud that the team's work and the work of our student ambassadors has been recognised for it's impact in the community by Times Higher Education Awards and UK Town and Gown Awards.

The Higher Education Awards, Outstanding Contribution to the Local Community

In September 2024, we were incredibly proud to be shortlisted for the Times Higher Education Awards in the category of Outstanding Contribution to the Local Community as part of the Student Living Strategy in collaboration with Nottingham Trent University and Nottingham City Council.

This recognition is a huge achievement for the Student Living Team, and a testament to the collective efforts to improve student experiences and community relations across Nottingham. A massive congratulations to everyone involved!

A special shout-out to the Community Engagement Team, whose work underpins much of the Strategy's success. Our team has played a crucial role in building stronger relationships with purpose-built student accommodation providers, encouraging a better balance of housing choices, and fostering a cleaner, more sustainable living environment through our Community Engagement Ambassador Program. From litter picking and managing waste issues to running proactive campaigns that help students be good neighbours, we’ve worked hard to ensure students are valued members of their communities.

Thank you to the entire team for your dedication and hard work in making Nottingham a better place for everyone. Let's keep up the momentum!
