Mandatory covid vaccinations for health and social care students
The UK government has revoked the requirement for students engaged in patient-facing activities in health or social care settings, to be appropriately vaccinated against Covid-19. This came into effect on 15 March 2022.
While we still encourage all eligible students to become fully vaccinated against Covid-19, you will not be legally required to do so.
This means that regardless of your Covid vaccination status, there would be no impediment to you undertaking placements in health and social care settings as part of your studies.
