Information for students from Switzerland

Our Undergraduate Prospectus lists entry requirements for A levels and International Baccalaureate students for each course.

We accept the following qualifications:

• Federal Maturity Certificate / Maturitätszeugnis
• Certificat de Maturité
• Baccalauréat
• Attestato di Maturità
• Federally recognised Cantonal Maturity Certificate (Eidgenössisch anerkanntes kantonales Maturitätszeugnis / Certificat de Maturité cantonal reconnu par la Confédération / Attestato di Maturità contonale riconosciuto dalla Confederazione)
• Passerelle Berufsmaturität from Universitäre Hochschulen

We can accept the following average grades:

• As Points: grades ranging from 105 to 125.
• As %:  grades ranging from 75 to 90
• As Average Grade:  grades ranging from 4.5 to 5

Students taking APs or SATs should refer to our entry requirements for the USA.

A masters and bachelors degree from a recognised university are usually required for PhD entry.

Qualifications considered equivalent to masters degrees:

• Eidgenösisches Diplom Berufsbildung
• Diplôme Fédéral Formation Professionnelle
• Diploma Federale Formazione Professionale
• Federal Diploma Vocational Training

Qualifications considered equivalent to Bachelor degrees:

• Diplom / Diplome
• Lizentiat / Licencee
• Staatsdiplom / Diplome D’Etat.
