Hollywood internships

Fancy gaining insider knowledge on how the screen industry works? We’re the only UK university to take part in Hollywood internships.

This once in a lifetime opportunity lets you complete a paid summer internship at one of the leading Hollywood studios or talent agencies!

You could spend ten weeks involved in things such as reading incoming film and television scripts, collecting audience data, filming interviews, and working front of house at special screenings and industry events.

These prestigious and highly competitive internships are supported through the generous Peter Rice Award. Peter is former Chair Disney General Entertainment Content and a Nottingham graduate.

How does it work?

Students will spend between 8-10 weeks living and working in LA (with one role based in London) to fully understand what these careers are like, develop key skills and experience for successful future job applications, and to network with key people in the sector.

Financial support

We are very lucky to be able to offer financial support due to a very generous donation from an esteemed alumni to contribute towards the costs of flights and visas to enable students to undertake this incredible placement.
