Our Design Communication module utilizes modern technology and tools to communicate design ideas and assist with the product development journey. The module is made up from key elements that form the foundations to successfully develop and showcase design ideas. You’ll be able to hone your sketching, CAD skills, rendering and presentation skills throughout the module, using specialist software and hardware.
The aim of this module is to learn key elements and the tools required to be a successful product designer. You’ll learn how to use a graphics tablet for sketching, key SolidWorks modelling techniques and how to achieve realistic and informative renders. Everything you learn during the module are applied to a linked design project and will provide the necessary skills needed for future projects.
By the end of it you’ll understand the necessary processes required to successfully communicate your designs. A skill that you’ll use throughout any design career.
