Vet medicine: accreditation and working abroad

With a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) and Bachelor of Veterinary Surgery (BVS) degree from Nottingham, you are qualified to practice in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and the Republic of Ireland.

This is because your degree is accredited and recognised by the: 

Working in Europe or America

We are accredited with the EAEVE and AVMA, which are a prerequisite for becoming a licensed veterinarian in the US, with some further steps required for licensing.

Having these accreditations does not give you automatic permission to work in the EU.

Want to work abroad after graduation?

If you are hoping to work in a different country, a good starting point is to search for the relevant veterinary board, awarding body or association. You should be able to find the relevant information for vets wanting to practice in that country.
