Setting you up for success as a physiotherapy graduate

At Nottingham, hands-on practical learning is a key part of your course to ensure you’re gaining those essential skills as soon as day one.

We know you’re eager to make a start on building those core skills and competencies you’ll need to advance your career.

Through clinical placements, case-based and simulated practice learning our newly reaccredited course enables you to master the knowledge, clinical skills and confidence to become a qualified physiotherapist.

Our placements are undertaken in six blocks of five weeks, giving you plenty of time in each clinical setting to really deepen your learning and skill set. They take place during normal working hours (9am to 5pm), five days a week.

We work with several hospital trusts offering expertise across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire. Areas you can work in include:

  • cardio-respiratory
  • intensive-care
  • neurology
  • musculoskeletal departments
  • community settings
  • leadership and research placements

These placements build your confidence and abilities so that by the time you graduate, you’re able to kick off your career as a physiotherapist.

Our placements provide you not only with hands-on experience but also networking opportunities to open the doors early for career discovery and progression.
