I’ve learned so much about working with animals and data analysis that you can’t learn elsewhere. I’m hoping to use the data from studying tigers in my final year dissertation project.

Further work experience

If a year-long placement isn’t for you, you could spend a summer working with one of our renowned scientists on campus, getting stuck into a unique project.

Alternatively, consider employer-led challenges or work experience organised by the Careers and Employability Service.

There are also opportunities to work with the university. You could share your love of your course as a student ambassador, or flex your creative skills as a content creator.

Study abroad

Studying overseas means more than just sampling delicious cuisine and a different climate. It’s a unique opportunity to become a more worldly, more adaptable person – traits which will benefit you in any future career.

We hope that gives you some ideas for how you can make your degree your own. The possibilities are infinite.
