A summer internship project looks great on your CV and gives you a taster of what a career in research might be like. By working with one of our renowned mathematicians on campus, you’ll get stuck into a unique project. It is chance to develop skills in time management, critical thinking and develop a network of contacts. Who knows, you may even decide to pursue a PhD after you graduate.
Dr Anna Kalogirou and student Shane Elliot talk about the internship and why they enjoyed it.
To do a PhD I thought it'd be good to get experience in a research area first, this project allowed me to do that.
