Field trip experience: Mount St Helens

Follow geography students Hannah Kemp and Emily Richardson as they take you with them on their third-year field trip to Mount St Helens.

Field trip experience: Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico.

Hannah also visited Mexico on a geography field trip. We asked her to tell us about her experience and why it was 'the trip of a lifetime.'

During my third year, I got the opportunity to go to the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. We carried out fieldwork for our research projects learning how to sample freshwater bodies and take sediment cores.
We also made the most of exploring ancient Mayan archaeological sites, swimming in beautiful cenotes and spotting wildlife (monkeys, flamingos and crocodiles)!
This was a trip of a lifetime, with an amazing group of friends and definitely a highlight of my degree here at Nottingham.
