What should I take to university?


Deciding what to bring to uni and what to keep at home can be a challenge. Use our packing lists make sure you’ve got everything you need to start your degree.

Accommodation, food, books, nights out… You might be surprised how quickly it all adds up once you get to university – especially when you’re settling into student life and managing your money for the first time. 


Volunteer with us


Volunteering at the University of Nottingham is done through a student-led service called Karnival*. There is a variety of volunteering activities you can get involved in, from helping local food banks to trekking events for charity.


Find Global Buddies


Are you an international student? Find a global buddy. What is it? It’s a fast way for international students to settle right away. Upon arrival, you will be partnered with a mentor buddy - a current student that will show you everything UoN and Nottingham have to offer.
