Professor Clive Roberts

A bit more about Professor Clive Roberts

Professor Roberts has worked at the University of Nottingham since 1990. Before he became the Head of the School for Life Sciences in February 2022, he was the Head of School for Pharmacy.  He is now Interim Faculty Pro-Vice Chancellor for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

His current research is focused on the development of new medicines and biomedical devices using 3D printing, working with colleagues in Additive Manufacturing in the Faculty of Engineering and a number of industrial collaborators. Some of the early tablets produced were exhibited from 2013 to 2015 at the London Science Museum and Manchester Industrial Science Museum in their exhibitions, '3D printing the future'.

Professor Roberts has also achieved commercial success through Molecular Profiles Ltd, a contract clinical trials company and recipient of two Queens Awards for Enterprise.  

He has recently been listed in the global Highly Cited Researchers 2022 rankings for his publications in Pharmacology and toxicology. And was shortlisted for 'Outstanding Research Supervisor of the Year' in the THE 2022 awards.
