Undergraduate Chemical and Environmental Engineering students using a heat place exchanger

Chemical Engineering including an Industrial Year MEng

University Park Campus, Nottingham, UK

Course overview

Launch your career as a highly sought-after chemical engineer with our MEng Chemical Engineering programme including an industrial placement year. After all, chemical engineers have a crucial role to play in addressing the world’s challenges – and are integral to key industries such as food and drink, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, and renewable energy.

Our course is characterised by its focus on industrial relevance. You'll engage in practical laboratory experiences, design and problem-based learning, independent and peer learning, and research and industrial contextualisation. From the very beginning, you’ll gain a deep understanding of fundamental engineering and design processes, and, in your fourth year, you’ll spend a year working in industry, giving you first-hand experience of the exciting challenges faced by engineers.
