Music and Philosophy BA

University Park Campus, Nottingham, UK

Course overview

Music is everywhere, profoundly impacting us as individuals and shaping our societies. Philosophy prompts deep reflection on the very foundations of our beliefs and the validity of our most common assumptions. This programme lets you dive into both worlds, exploring the power of music and your creative potential to produce memorable tunes.

You'll have countless opportunities to develop your creative and critical thinking skills while discovering the innovative ways philosophers, past and present, have tackled humanity's greatest ideas and problems. If you're a keen musician wanting to explore the exciting world philosophy offers, then this is the course for you.

This joint honours will also develop key skills in critical thinking, creativity and collaboration, and make you adaptive to challenges in the modern workplace.
