Fixing the climate impact of nitrogen

Synthetic nitrogen fertilisers used in farming are a leading cause of global warming. A revolutionary approach developed at Nottingham will accelerate a process that uses bacteria to convert nitrogen from the air to create sustainable biofertilisers.
