Solicitor Mentoring Scheme (spring): Are you a qualified Solicitor looking to support aspiring solicitors within the School of Law at the University of Nottingham? We’re launching a new mentoring scheme in Spring 2025 designed to support students to plan their next steps towards a solicitor career. Register your interest as a mentor and we’ll be in touch ASAP.

Economics Alumni Careers Showcase (spring): Did you graduate from the School of Economics in the past 10 years? We’re inviting alumni from the school to share their career journeys and top tips with current Economics students. Register your interest as a speaker and we’ll be in touch with more information later in the year.

Engineering Where are they Now? Careers event (February): Did you graduate from the Faculty of Engineering in the past 5 to 10 years? We have an exciting speaker opportunity for alumni to come and share their career journeys with current Engineering students. Register your interest as a speaker and we’ll be in touch with more information later in the year.

University Radio Nottingham – Were you a member of University Radio Nottingham (URN) during your time at university? We would love to hear from you about your experiences, and we are looking to hold events this academic year to provide opportunities for current URN students to network and learn from you.

Spotlight on Film, TV and Radio – We are looking for a panel of alumni who are now working in the Film, TV and Radio industry to speak with our students about getting a job and working in the sector.

Spotlight on Heritage Sector – If you are working in the heritage sector, we would love to hear from you about your current role and your experience working in the sector. We are holding a careers event for current students wanting to move into this line of work and we would appreciate your support as part of a panel discussion.

Working in the US – Did you go on to work in the US after graduation and are a UK graduate? We are holding an event to support and advise students looking to work in the US and provide advice on the process of finding a job and moving abroad.

MBA Networking Event Volunteer for MBA Sustainable Decisions and Organisations Module 

Date: Friday 28 February
Time: 16:30 – 18:00
Location: Business School South, Jubilee Campus

We are looking for alumni working in sustainability-focused roles or roles where sustainability plays a key part to inspire MBA students while sharing expertise and insights into sustainable practices. Networking is a critical skill for building successful careers, yet many students find it challenging. By volunteering, you’ll help students gain confidence, develop networking skills, and connect with professionals driving sustainability in their industries. 

What’s Involved: The session will be an informal networking event, providing students with the opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, and learn from your experiences. You’ll be introduced through a brief bio and photo shared with attendees beforehand. The event will take place on the final day of the MBA Sustainable Decisions and Organisations module, with discussions shaped by the module’s key themes. If your work contributes to sustainability or involves making sustainable decisions, we’d love for you to join us. Help guide the next generation of leaders and inspire students to integrate sustainability into their careers.

MSc ‘Where are they now’ Networking Event

We are looking for Business School MSc Alumni volunteers to support us with an informal networking session to allow our MSc students the opportunity to network with our graduates and learn about their career journeys.
