Alumni profile - your story

Take 30 minutes to complete your Alumni Profile. Your profile will join our library of alumni stories which will be used to inspire students and help them to think about their career options.
 

eMentoring opportunity

Could you inspire our current students and help to shape their future career? Are you interested in giving your time online from anywhere in the world? Could you be an eMentor? Our eMentoring programme is flexible and can fit around you. You can choose whether you want to answer a quick question that a student might have, or take part in a more structured mentoring relationship for 4, 12 or 24 weeks.
 

Sports eMentor

Do you have fond memories of playing in a sports club at university or experience working in the sports industry? Are you interested in giving your time from anywhere in the world, at a time that is suitable for you? Could you be a Sports eMentor? Our Sports eMentoring programme is a fantastic way that you can share your professional expertise, offer bespoke advice, and help to enhance the employability of our student sports leaders. Sports eMentoring can fit around you - whether you want to answer a quick question that a student might have, or take part in a more structured mentoring relationship.
 

Wonder Community Engagement Volunteer

Get hands-on as a Community Engagement Volunteer at this year's Wonder event! There are three fun volunteer roles to choose from - whether you'd like to help visitors to the University make the most of the Wonder-ful activities on offer as an Activity Helper, spread the word about our ground-breaking research and collect cash gifts as a Fundraising Collector, or as a gather essential feedback from visitors as a Community Feedback Volunteer.
 

Garden Tour Guide

Heritage Tour Guide

We are looking for Heritage Tour Guides to join our Friends of University Park group, to share their love of the University grounds with visitors, ensuring that they have a memorable and enjoyable experience.
 

Summer School Careers Volunteer

Join one of our Summer School career lunches and speak to our Nottingham Potential and Sutton Trust summer school students about the amazing career opportunities a university degree can bring. Alumni can play a huge role in helping high-achieving Year 12 students to discover the benefits of higher education, as well as provide their unique insight into the university experience.

At the University we are working on ways to help our brilliant Financial and Computational Mathematics students prepare for work in the financial sector. Having a connection with the real wold is crucial and we are looking for an individual to give an inspiring talk, with some technical and practical elements, relating to the area of investment banking they work in.
 

Recruitment Volunteer

Can you remember applying to study in the UK and how many questions you had? Or are you living abroad and would like to spread the word about The University of Nottingham? Our International Office are looking for help and assistance with recruiting our new students. This role asks you to speak about your experiences, answering questions from potential students and their parents about The University of Nottingham.
 

Venue and Hospitality Facilitator

We are looking for alumni living internationally who may be able to offer a venue or other hospitality services in a specific geographical region to be used for regional get-togethers, as well as more formal events for alumni of The University of Nottingham. Can you help?
 

Conversion Volunteer

We are sure you remember the excitement and anticipation of being offered your place to study at Nottingham. You probably also had a lot of questions and perhaps a few concerns about what it might be like when you arrived. This role will give you the opportunity to use your experience to help answer some of those questions and alleviate any concerns for the next generation of alumni.

Dementia Research Volunteers

Location: Nottingham, UK
We are looking for volunteers to help shape the University's dementia-friendly campaign, bring a fresh perspective to our world leading research, and comment on our dementia education initiatives. As a dementia research volunteer, you could get involved in a variety of research related areas, including participation in focus groups, reviewing research documents, and belonging to a panel which is consulted about the latest dementia research, education, and organisational developments.
 

Buddy

Ref: INT004 - Buddy

Location: International (US, Canada and Australia)
Are you living internationally? Could you help as an international buddy? You will be an important point of contact for visiting study abroad students in your home town. You will share your local knowledge, serving as a friendly face, offering to meet your contact for a coffee, chat or tour of the city if appropriate. Buddies are essential in supporting our international student community- we'd love to hear from you!
 

International Alumni Speaker

We are looking for alumni who have progressed onto successful careers or have an inspirational story! Could you speak at alumni events inspiring our alumni and sharing career stories, tips on your profession or an amazing story linked to our Impact campaign.
 

Event Organiser

Are you interested in arranging informal get-togethers for alumni in your country/region? Or would you like to get together alumni from professional sectors, particular areas of international or cultural interest, or simply act as social/professional networking events. This role will give you the opportunity to create events and help us with larger alumni events.
