Description

Gender and Strategic Self-Representation

Women are commonly believed to be more cooperative than men. This can be an advantage in some strategic interactions, while in others it can be a disadvantage. Using a lab experiment we examine whether individuals act on these (dis)advantages when they can choose the gender with which they represent themselves.
