Title: classEx – a software for classroom and lab-in-the-field experiments

Abstract: classEx is a software for running experiments in the classroom with an instantaneous graphical illustration of findings. It can be equally employed for lab-in-the-field experiments. It is optimized for participants with mobile devices. Standard experiments with multiple treatments, monetary incentives, roles, groups, rounds and stages are available in a ready-made format. A back end allows more sophisticated users to conveniently implement their own experiments. We present examples, describe the functionality and show how the tool can be used both for teaching and research.
