Sustainable Chemicals and Processes Industry Forum 

The BPU has established the Sustainable Chemicals & Processes Industry Forum (SCIF) and three successful meetings have been held since June 2017. The format of the forum has been shaped by those organisations that have contributed to the first meetings.

Aims of the Forum

  • To influence, via industry input, a body of collaborative research in sustainable chemicals and processes that addresses key challenges in the chemicals sector
  • To share good practice, experience and information among participating businesses and between the University and business
  • Engage and inform policymakers on the importance of sustainable processes
  • Connect with other networks/institutions
  • Improve student training
  • Undertake consumer engagement/education activities
