The Lord Dearing Award Scheme has run since 1999 recognising the outstanding achievements of University of Nottingham staff in enhancing the student learning experience. The scheme was supported by Ronald Dearing, Lord Dearing, the fifth Chancellor of the University of Nottingham. The awards are held annually, with nominations from staff and students, and the awards are given to individuals and teams who have successfully demonstrated the impact of their teaching and learning to enhancing the student experience.
