International Criminal Court ASP event to be attended by head of school

Professor Olympia Bekou, Head of HRLC ICJ Unit and Head of School, is attending the 22nd Assembly of State Parties (ASP) of the International Criminal Court in New York.

On Tuesday 5 December, she will join a side event hosted by Norway, convened by the Centre for International Law Research and Policy (CILRAP) and co-sponsored by HRLC ICJ Unit, , Indian Society of International Law, Coalition for International Criminal Justice, Clinique de droit international pénal et humanitaire (Université Laval), Stockholm Center for International Law and Justice, Northumbria Centre for Evidence and Criminal Justice Studies, Norwegian Helsinki Committee, and the Canadian Partnership for International Justice.

The side event will launch a significant new publication on religion and hate speech and the 2,300-page Commentary on the Law of the International Criminal Court (‘CLICC’) available in Arabic, English and French on Lexsitus.

Professor Bekou will join a panel discussing the significance of digital public goods and digital capacity-building, Lexsitus and the commentary (including a new three volume English edition), and the positive implications for the Legal Tools Database LTD as an ICL global commons.
