Manuscripts and Special Collections

We collect, care for, and provide access to the University of Nottingham's collections of archives, rare books and printed items, and the Museum of Archaeology.

Visit our Reading Room and free exhibitions to view the collections.

Please note  from Monday 1st September we will be trialling timed production for same-day requests. Material will be retrieved at 10am, 11am, 12noon, 2pm, 3pm, and 4pm.

Upcoming events

Join us at Nottingham Central Library for 'Voices from the City', a 10 year celebration of Nottingham becoming a UNESCO City of Literature! As part of the festival, material from our collections will be used for a Feminist Zine Making workshop, 10:30am-12:15pm on Saturday 29 November.
