Global Media and China (https://uk.sagepub.com/en-gb/asi/global-media-and-china/journal202494) is a leading journal from Sage Publications and the official journal of the Communication University of China (Beijing). It is a peer reviewed, open access, scholarly journal that provides a dedicated, interdisciplinary forum for international research on all aspects of communication and media. The journal has a special, but not exclusive, interest in China and Chinese media both from a global and a Chinese perspective. The journal also publishes new research on digital platforms, social media and related policy. The journal actively encourages both quantitative and qualitative approaches to media, communications, and society while seeking to advance the field by publishing innovative and thought-provoking papers, reviews, and discussions that open up new directions or shed new light on significant issues.

Speakers: 

Zhang Lei is Professor in the National Center for Communication Innovation Studies at the Communication University of China, Beijing. He is Managing Editor of Global Media and China

Ren Tianwei is a member of the Faculty of International Media, Communication University of China, Beijing. She is Commissioning Editor of Global Media and China.
