Biography

Corresponding Member of the German Archaeological Institute, and a member of the European Science Foundation "Transformation of the Roman World" Project 1992-97.

Research Summary

My research interests are Roman religion in the imperial period, and the transformation of the late Roman into the medieval world, especially the development of late Roman cities.
