The Centre provides an overarching community for regional literature specialists throughout the modern era. Our members are involved in teaching and research at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels.

- Text-editing and literary history including the Renaissance, the Long Eighteenth Century, Romanticism, the Nineteenth Century, Modernism, the Contemporary
- Regional literature and culture (including Irish and Scottish writing)
