One of the most powerful aspects of MRI is that in a single study it is possible to combine exquisite images of anatomy (based largely on the distribution and binding of water) with measurements of biochemistry (made using different nuclei in our body). We have considerable expertise in this area, which we intend to exploit on the new 11.7T scanner.
