Emeritus Professor,
Emeritus Professor Bruce Stafford joined the School in February 2006 as Professor of Public Policy. He has over 35 years' experience of analysing and evaluating public and social policies, with a focus on social security (notably, welfare to work, service delivery and disability issues). This research has included several studies sponsored by the Department for Work and Pensions, the States of Jersey, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, the European Commission, National Disability Authority for Ireland and others. He has taught courses on policy analysis, welfare policy and research methods. He has both qualitative and quantitative skills as well as extensive experience of leading research projects and consortia. Bruce held a number of senior positions within the School including Head of School (2013-17).
