Sport

The University of Nottingham has a proud history of sporting success and has invested millions in its international-standard facilities.

Sporting ambitions to suit everyone

Everyone at Nottingham has the chance to participate in sport, at a level that’s right for them.

There are sports centres on all of our campuses, and University Park Campus features the impressive David Ross Sports Village with 200-station fitness suite, swimming pool and climbing wall.

The University of Nottingham has been selected as Sports University of the Year in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021.
    Our sports programme includes:
  • over 100 teams representing the University at local, national and international level
  • more than 70 sports clubs with something for everyone, whether you’re a complete beginner or elite athlete
  • our Engage programme which is the perfect opportunity to try a new sport or just turn up and play for fun
  • a dedicated Disability Sport Officer to ensure our students have the right support to stay active
  • the unique Tri Campus Games where students from each of our three international campuses join together for a festival of sport
