Travel survey results

Student parking a bike on Jubilee Campus

Many thanks to everyone who completed the 2013 staff and student travel survey - we received nearly 2,400 responses.

The team are busy analysing the results, but an overview of the results PDF format is available now.

The proportion of staff and students travelling to campus on their own by car has decreased over the last four years. Encouragingly, the proportion of staff that walk or cycle has increased – just under a quarter of staff respondents travel to the University under their own steam. This is great news and a credit to all those active commuters. The data gathered will help us to identify how we can further develop sustainable travel initiatives.

Those who commented on bus services to University Park outside of term time, will be pleased to know that from Sunday 23 June 2013, NCT's 34 bus service will run all year round - including at weekends. Read more about the enhanced 34 bus service

However, it's clear from responses that we can do more to promote some of the existing schemes and resources. Below are some useful links:

Congratulations go to Gaynor Robinson and Aysha Vyas who were the winners of the staff and student prize draws, receiving £100 worth of Victoria Centre vouchers.
