This course may be taken by any student with a Bachelors degree or higher in a science or social science subject, of the required standard, to an appropriate aspect of Geography. This is a research degree, and gives students the option, but not the obligation, to undertake up to 60 credits of masters level taught modules appropriate to the student’s research interests. This is a science degree, so it is suitable for students with a science or social science background, including physical geography and related natural science subjects.

Each student will have two supervisors, appropriate to your research interests, who will provide advice and guidance in the research process, and will monitor progress. The main assessment for the degree will consist of a thesis, based on the student’s research. The length of the thesis will depend on the number of taught modules taken.
