"Nottingham University won me over straight away when I came to visit in
May 2002. The campus is so beautiful and I could really imagine myself living and working in
this green haven just outside the bustling city of Nottingham. I also received a warm welcome
in the School of Geography and could sense a real community spirit in the department. I am
glad to say that I most definitely made the right choice and my three years at Nottingham have
lived up to all my expectations. |
The School of Geography is an excellent department, with approachable staff and a really good
departmental social life, cumulating in the annual Globall – an event not to be missed!
Coming from Liverpool, I was concerned whether Nottingham would compete in terms of shopping
and nightlife, but I needn’t have worried because the facilities are first class and with the
new trams and other redevelopments, Nottingham is definitely on the up. Nottingham Uni as a
whole is a great place to be, there are so many societies to join and what with the majority
of Freshers being housed in Halls of Residence, it is impossible not to make loads of friends!
I wish I had another three years here. "
