Prospective Students
Chris Watson is a graduate Geography Single Honours BSc
"I decided to study at Nottingham because of the great reputation the School of Geography
has in terms of research and teaching quality. And now that I’m here, I feel motivated within
this professional, yet relaxed study environment. The course offers an exceptional range of
modules which allow you to tailor your degree to your own particular needs and interests.
The course is very challenging but is ultimately rewarding.
The main campus looks amazing and is located only a short distance from Nottingham city
centre. This gives you the benefits associated with living in a large and vibrant city but
the security and comfort of a campus located just 2 miles away. The city provides excellent
shopping, cultural activities and nightlife.
Alongside my academic studies I’ve also managed to volunteer in a local school once a week
through the University’s own ‘Student Community Action’ group. This has allowed me to meet
new people and develop skills in addition to those gained through my studies here. There are
many ways in which you can involve yourself within the University community, whether it’s
through joining some of the societies or taking up a particular sporting interest.
I’ve honestly enjoyed every aspect of living and studying in Nottingham over the past
three years."
