The Moody Group is situated in the Pfizer Organic Synthesis Laboratory. Our lab consists of 16 fumehoods and dedicated 'clean' office:

Departmental Facilities
The School of Chemistry at the University of Nottingham is well equipped with a range of scientific equipment and technical expertise. Highlights include:
- 300 MHz and 3 × 400 including one HD NMR machines running on automation (recently upgraded).
- 500 MHz NMR machine with cryoprobe for customised technician-run service experiments.
- Access to 600 MHz and 800 MHz NMR machines in the University of Nottingham's Centre for Biomolecular Sciences as required.
- Open-access ESI micro-TOF, MALDI-TOF, FT and an EI source LC-MS mass spectrometers.
- Reaction monitoring LC-MS, TLC-MS and preparative LC-MS.
- X-ray crystallographic service (recently upgraded).
- CHN microanalysis.
- Scientific glassblower.
- Mechanical and electronic workshops.
- And most importantly, our own refectory offering free tea, coffee and squash!
