Biography

I am a Registered Nurse with over 25 years experience working in the acute sector. I trained at the Royal London Hospital, qualifying in 1986 and worked in Trauma and Orthopedics and later in Infection Control. More recently I have experience in Cardiac Intensive Care at Glenfield Hospital, which also included caring for patients receiving ECMO and General Intensive Care. I worked at the Queen's Medical Centre on Adult ICU for 6 years, firstly as a staff nurse, then later as a Clinical Nurse Educator, where I ran the Critical Care Foundation Programme. I started my MSc in 2009, and it is due to be completed by September 2012.

I have recently completed the AIM instructor course.
