Assistant Professor, Faculty of Science
Lisa studied BSc Mathematics (2008-2011) and then completed her PhD thesis "Efficient Statistical methods for inference and model selection in diffusion-weighted MRI models" at University of Nottingham (2011-2015). She then completed a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics at the University of Nottingham (2015-2016). Lisa then taught mathematics at a Further Education college (2016-2020). Lisa then started her role as a Teaching Associate at the University of Nottingham in February 2020 and was promoted to Assistant Professor in January 2022.
Lisa has a teaching-focussed role in the school. She develops innovative resources for the Degree Apprenticeship in Data Science.
Lisa has been the Digital Learning Lead for the School of Mathematical Sciences since 2020
Lisa currently teaches on three modules on the Data Science Degree Apprenticeship.

DATA2001 Statistical Models and Methods
DATA1004 Introduction to Probability and Statistics
Previously she was the module convenor of MATH1055 Probability [Apprenticeship], MATH1054 Statistics [Apprenticeship] and MTHS2001 Applied Statistics and Probability and the second lecturer of MATH4019 Fundamentals of Statistics.
