Elisha is a Clinical Trial Coordinator at the Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit, where he currently supports the POISE and RELIEF trials. He is also an Associate with the Association for Project Management, showcasing his dedication to professional development and project leadership.

Elisha holds a Master's Degree in Disaster Risk Management and Development Studies from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria where he conducted impactful research focusing on the Health and Psychosocial Needs among Internally Displaced Persons at a displaced persons camp in Abuja, Nigeria, and a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Microbiology from Federal University of Technology Minna, Nigeria.
He commenced his career journey in clinical research within the industry as a Clinical Data Specialist in 2020. In this role, he demonstrated proficiency across diverse specialties such as Oncology, Reproductive Health, Vaccines, and Respiratory, ensuring adherence to clinical research data accuracy in accordance with GCP guidelines.
In 2022, Elisha moved from Nigeria to the UK, joining the Children's Research Team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust as a Research Data Administrator, providing invaluable support to research delivery across Renal, Neonatal, and General Paediatrics Trials.
Elisha joined the Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit in January 2024, assuming a pivotal role in providing management and operational support to trials within the unit.

Current Research
Elisha's current portfolio of trials includes the POISE and RELIEF randomised controlled trials. The POISE trial is aiming to find out what the most effective hormone treatment is for women with premature ovarian insufficiency (POI), in both the short and long-term, and The RELIEF trial has the overall aim to determine the clinical effectiveness, cost effectiveness and acceptability, of replacing SABA inhalers with inhalers containing ICS/formoterol in patients with asthma treated with low dose ICS maintenance treatment.
Future Research
Elisha is working on developing his skills in clinical trial monitoring and has a growing interest in mental health and men's health research and also a passion to demystify the thought lines around clinical research among underrepresented groups with a focus on improving clinical research participation among these groups.
