Biography
Julie qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1980. She has worked as an occupational therapist in a variety of clinical jobs and settings including vascular surgery, health care of the elderly, out patient rehab. Between 1998 - 2018 she worked with the Nottingham Traumatic Brain Injury Service, a community team, specializing in helping people return to work and maintain work after traumatic brain injury. In 1995 she completed a part time M.A. in Policy, Organisation and Change in Professional Care at Loughborough University. 1n 2013, she completed a part time PhD at the University of Nottingham in Return to work after traumatic brain injury: A cohort comparison and feasibility economic analysis. Since then she has worked as a research Occupational Therapist on a variety of studies regarding Return to work after traumatic brain injury (FRESH 2013- 16) and RETAKE (Return to work after stroke ) 2017- ongoing.
