The University of Nottingham Malaysia opened in September 2000. It was the first ever branch campus of a British University established outside the UK - earning the distinction of the Queen's Award for Enterprise 2001 and the Queen's Award for Industry (International Trade) 2006.
Semenyih Campus
In September 2005, the University moved to its new purpose-built campus at Semenyih, Selangor – 60 minutes away from Kuala Lumpur. Spanning across 48-hectare of beautifully landscaped gardens, the campus is a self-contained village that is designed to mirror the attributes of University Park in the UK, housing over 4,300 students. It combines a high-quality living environment with state-of-the-art learning, teaching and research facilities. Other campus amenities include:
