Following the feedback received from many staff who participated in the 21st Century University events in November 2018, a Green Paper consultation document was published to invite further discussion and capture views on the most significant choices we need to make in developing the new University Strategy. To support considerations, a report on some of the global trends which will influence our external context as a University was also published.
The University community was invited to study the Green Paper and contribute their views during March and April 2019. We would like to thank all our staff, students and alumni for sharing their views on the consultation through the questionnaire, town hall meetings, local team meetings and consultation stands that took place across our UK, China and Malaysia campuses.
This part of the consultation received in excess of 17,000 pieces of feedback from more than 2,000 individuals and groups, which was a great response.
All the ideas and feedback received were reviewed in detail and were carefully considered to inform the next-stage White Paper consultation.
The strategy Green Paper consultation report provides an analysis of all contributions grouped into themes, along with responses. A Tableau Workbook contains a summary of the responses received to the questions in the online survey. A compilation of all the comments that were received during the consultation is also available.
