Leadership, not power: harnessing your passion to drive the agenda
Social campaigning took the University of Nottingham’s Chancellor Baroness Lola Young of Hornsey OBE on a journey from foster care in 1960s north London to leadership positions in Bloomsbury Publishing, the Arts Council, National Heritage, and the House of Lords.
Five decades of driving dialogue on gender and race equality, anti-slavery, wealth disparity and young people’s rights have earned Baroness Young of Hornsey honorary titles, degrees and board positions. They are all issues Lola holds important at a deep, personal level.
In this open conversation between the university’s President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shearer West and Baroness Young of Hornsey, the two leaders explored what leadership means today with an audience of university and civic leaders.
