The External Examiner system enables the University to ensure that the qualifications it awards are of a suitable standard, and that the student performances are judged appropriately.
The Quality and Student Management Systems team sends out a letter of appointment to all External Examiners for taught programmes, together with a list of programmes and the fee for that session. An information sheet is also provided, which contains a link to all relevant information the External Examiner will need (please see below).
Annual Reports
Guidance on completing and submitting the annual report and how we use it. Copies of previous examiners' reports are available on request from the Head of School.
Annual Report submissions are to be made online via MS Forms, a link to which you should have been sent.
In addition to this, you will also need to complete a Payment Details form to satisfy HMRC regulations. This should also be completed online via the MS Forms link you have been sent.
If you have not received either of these links, please contact the External Examiner team.
