Chemistry in Aerospace: Materials Characterisation & Design

The aerospace industry requires materials with high performance characteristics.

The University of Nottingham’s School of Chemistry explains the ways in which we model and characterise material properties, in order to provide disruptive new solutions for the future, and how the University can help your company access the facilities and expertise you need for your aerospace materials requirements.

Speakers:

  • Chemistry in Aerospace - An overview of opportunities: Dr. Nick Bennett (Project Manager, ChemEnSus)
  • Multiscale modelling of advanced materials with applications in energy storage, military defence and carbon nanoscience: Dr. Elena Bichoutskaia (Lecturer in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry)
  • The Nottingham Nanotechnology and Nanoscience Centre: Dr. Peter Milligan (Business Development Executive in Nanotechnology)

    Location:

Aerospace Technology Centre, Innovation Park, Triumph Road, Nottingham, NG7 2TU
