On Friday 21st November 2014 the Institute for Aerospace Technology (IAT) held The University of Nottingham 2014 Annual Showcase for Aerospace Technology and Innovation.

The event highlighted the importance of integration within the aerospace industry, not only with regards to technology development but also in the management of supply chains.

Other themes explored included the role that hybrid and electric energy sources and storage will play in the future industry; the industry’s graduate skill requirements and how the University is meeting these needs; and how ATI, and other UK and EU, funding will support the development of new innovation.

The IAT showcased the breadth of aerospace research, training and education conducted by The University of Nottingham and brought together research and technology professionals from leading primes, supply chain companies and academia.
