For Global Entrepreneurship Week 2024, we brought together two panels of alumni entrepreneurs to discuss how an entrepreneurial mindset can help drive innovation and creativity, generate fresh ideas and new ways of problem solving.

Guiding the conversation was Dr Terri Holloway, Head of The Ingenuity Lab, Haydn Green Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Nottingham University Business School.

    Mayank is the Founder of Gud Gum, a sustainable, plastic-free chewing gum brand, who combines his expertise in food production with a passion for environmental stewardship.

  • Gemma Poole (Midwifery, 2020)
    Co-Founder, The Essential Baby Company

    Gemma, a registered midwife and award-winning lecturer, Co-founded The Essential Baby Company, through which she advocates for reducing race-based health inequalities with inclusive tools, education, and community-driven initiatives.

  • Chris Brownridge (French and German, 2007)
    Founder, Flixr

    With over 15 years of experience in the tech industry, Chris has founded and led multiple start-ups in the fields of digital marketing, mobile advertising, and more recently AI.

  • Trishna Daswaney (Business Management, 2015)
    Founder, Kohl Kreatives

    Trishna is the Founder of Kohl Kreatives, a beauty brand that creates accessible beauty tools, including a range of makeup brushes designed for people with motor disabilities.
