The School of Biosciences offers a wide variety of international programmes.
Depending on your subject, you can apply to spend one semester or a year abroad as part of a standard three year degree programme, or choose to apply to the International Year and spend an additional year in Europe as part of a four year programme. It’s even possible to combine more than one study abroad programme within your degree.
Research has shown that graduates who have had an international experience are more likely to earn more, have better career prospects and achieve higher degree outcomes, as well enabling you to engage with the global nature of your degree subject.

“I would recommend studying abroad to anyone. Nottingham provides support and all the information you need. I now have friends and contacts all over the world and it has allowed me to experience places I have always dreamt of visiting, whilst increasing the interest I have for my chosen degree course.”
