Our postgraduate careers team help doctoral students explore and develop their career options. We offer individual career coaching, skill development events, guest lectures and an online careers resource area.
We can support you whatever you decide to do next – whether that’s an academic career, or in industry, consultancy or management.

I strongly recommend seeking assistance from the PG Careers team. They advised me on how to improve an application and then helped me to prepare for the interview. The consultant was kind and supportive all the time.
Additional support
In additional to the specialist careers support available within the Business School, you can also benefit from additional support from the university's Researcher Academy. This provides professional development for researchers and includes a placement programme, offering part-time consulting roles with industry partners.
You can also access specialist resources developed by the University’s Careers and Employability Service.
