The Centre for Decision Research and Experimental Economics (CeDEx) is a world-leading research group that investigates human decision-making using theoretical and experimental methods. Our research involves experiments with volunteer subjects who make real decisions which affect their rewards. Experiments are usually computer based and can take place in one of our special labs or online.
To mark the establishment of a new decision-making lab at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China, CeDEx China is hosting a workshop on behavioural and experimental economics from 22 to 23 November 2019. The workshop is for all internal and external China-based CeDEx members, with other attendees travelling from overseas.
Dr Tom Lane, Assistant Professor in Economics and Local Director of CeDEx China says; "This event aims to support the development of a network of scholars linked to CeDEx in China and beyond".
Professor Chris Starmer, Global CeDEx Director said; "I'm delighted to be visiting CeDEx China to celebrate the establishment of the new lab. The focus of the workshop will be on introductions and network-building and, although colleagues will present their latest research, we'll also have some talks which serve as a wider introduction to the research interests of CeDEx China members.
UK Lab Manager, Dr Jose Guinot Saporta, will also be travelling to China to provide expert advice on the operation of the new lab ahead of its inaugural experiments.
