Dr Ozan Isler joined CeDEx last year (2014-15) as a visiting scholar on a TUBITAK scholarship. We are delighted that Ozan will be continuing his stay at CeDEx thanks to Marie Curie funding.
Ozan received his BA in Economics from Yale University (2003) with distinction, and his MA and PhD in Economics from the University of California, Riverside (2006 & 2009). His research interests are:
• Methodology and philosophy of Experimental Economics
• Framing effects in experimental instructions
• Role of task & goal construal in decision-making processes
• Social dilemma experiments & social norm measures
• Process tracing methods.
Dr Isler says; “My research specializes in the methodology & philosophy of experimental economics in general and contextual & framing related confounds in particular. Based on a conception of framing effects as a relationship between objective task properties and subjective construal processes, my current fellowship aims to trace the effects of ‘abstract’ vs ‘concrete’ language use in experimental instructions on decision-making processes".
