Facilitating access to continuous professional development courses.
The University of Nottingham, ranked among the top 20 Universities in the UK and in the top 100 globally for Chemistry (QS World University Rankings 2025), is proud to offer continuous professional development (CPD) to scientists working in the chemistry using industries.
Our most recent example of this is our “Sustainability in Chemistry” online CPD.
The CPD aims to equip professional scientists in industry with a sound understanding of sustainability and the environmental impact of their work, while also offering industry professionals the opportunity to refresh skills and enhance their expertise.
The CPD takes approximately 32 hours of self-paced learning (using online resources) and can optionally include an opportunity for learners to meet with a member of our academic team and discuss the content, ask questions and discuss how they can implement their learning in their day-to-day practices. The topics include:
- Topic 1: Introduction to Green Chemistry
- Topic 2: Sustainable Chemistry
- Topic 3: Beyond Green Chemistry
