To celebrate the publication of Harper Lee's controversial new novel Go Set a Watchman, the prequel To Kill a Mocking Bird, Sharon Monteith and Katie Hamilton will be in conversation about the impact and representation of the US South in Harper Lee's writing. Sharon Monteith is Professor of American Studies and Co-Director of the Centre for Research in Race and Rights at the University of Nottingham where she researches the US South in cultural history, film, media and fiction. Katie Hamilton is completing a PhD in American Studies at the University of Nottingham about representations of pregnancy in the literature of the US South.

Copies of Go Set a Watchman will be available from Fives Leaves for £12 (discounted from £18.99) from 14th July. Copies can be reserved in advance.
